The 2nd New England VOW Tournament is in the Books!
It was a full day of activity, starting with a buffet lunch at the beautiful clubhouse. Then 75 golfers ventured out on a very gusty afternoon for a team scramble. The weather held out (but for a few raindrops, whew), the front passed, and it was on to the evening portion of the event. More friends, fans and guests arrived and enjoyed a fantastic night of Cajun food, rockin' blues and dancing. Live and silent auctions, along with the previous night's raffle at Chan's, were very successful in raising funds for the Voice of the Wetlands non-profit organization. $12,000 Raised — Surpassing Last Year! After all was said and done — the event participants had raised a net contribution of about $12,000. There are many people to thank for the great results: volunteers, donors, sponsors, golfers, auction participants, and especially Tab, for his tireless work (and play!) on behalf of the Louisiana wetlands.
